Job Details:
The roles main purpose is to balance Product Availability against fluctuating demand, working capital constraints, write off risks and target Service Levels.
The role is an integral part of the wider Supply Planning Team, which will cover the total portfolio for the Medical Business (Nutricia UK / Ireland and 3 rd Party Management)
Key Responsibilities
*.The Supply Planner is responsible for maintaining Stock Availability across a portfolio of circa 250 Nutricia products.
*.Develop & monitor KPI’s to ensure that Service levels & Inventory targets are achieved & that root causes are identified with appropriate action.
*.Responsible for the overall management of write off’s for own portfolio of products, which will include minimising write off’s for the Business, understanding route causes and providing solutions to resolve any issues.
*.Provide support to the Supply Planning Manager in the development of setting optimum safety stock levels , defining best practice processes & driving improvements across the category, whilst delivering key service level targets and minimising write offs.
*.On a day to day basis, prioritise issues as and when they occur & depending on severity, deliver a successful resolution to issues, which will include pro-actively communicating and managing issues across the Business.
*.Advise the Business of any stock issues by issuing regular Critical stock reports.
*.Ensure that regular communication takes place with Supply Points / 3PO Team regarding inbound deliveries and potential out of stocks, working within the agreed Service Framework.
*.Attend & provide input into monthly forecast meetings with Demand Planners and Product Managers.
*.Monitor and order Nutricia Starter packs from 3rd Party Co-packer.
*.Provide cover and support for other Supply and Demand colleagues, which will include all Nutricia sku’s (UK / Ireland and 3 rd Party Management).
Main Challenges
*.The role is truly cross functional so the successful candidate will need to have strong numerical and analytical skills, balanced with great interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others.
*.The varied demand profiles across the product portfolio along with the criticality of a number of products throws up significant challenge. The successful candidate will have the potential/capacity to learn product knowledge and a good understand of the Medical Business.
*.The successful candidate must have the ability to pro-actively manage, communicate and resolve Availability issues as and when they occur.
*.It is vitally important to build Effective relationships across Supply Chain, Supply Points/3PO, Customer Services and Marketing, to optimise the Availability of lines listed within the portfolio, therefore the successful candidate must have strong influencing skills and the ability to build strong relationships with people.
