Job Details:
The primary responsibility of a Technical Solution Architect is to move customer workloads to Azure. The CSA is a technical customer facing role that will be accountable for the end-to-end customer cloud deployment experience. The CSA will own the Azure technical customer engagement including specific implementation projects and/or Proofs of Concept (POCs). The ideal candidate will have experience in customer facing roles and had success leading technical and business value discussions with senior customer executives that drive key decisions and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
•Executing quick technical feasibility and proposal development for moving identified workloads to Azure
•Building a technical and security architecture in Azure for the selected apps/workloads
•Lead compliance assessments with the customer on designed Azure architecture
•Selecting a migration approach to lift and shift the workloads to Azure or architecting a greenfield development and/or production platform for new applications
•Executing POCs.
•Ensuring plan execution and Azure consumption targets are met
•Driving the quality of the onboarding plan (with MCS or partners)
•Documenting and sharing technical best practices / insights with engineering and the architect community
•Ensuring Azure initiatives stay on track, troubleshoot where
necessary
•Ensure customer expectations are met
Key Responsibilities:
•Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends
•Proven track record of building technical and business relationships with senior executives and growing wallet share in large or highly strategic accounts
•Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through
•Problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, where and when needed, to do what’s right for the customer and for the organization (i.e. think through workarounds, evaluate risk of various deployment options, etc.)
•Exceptional verbal and written communication
•Ability to connect technology with measurable business value
•Demonstrated technical thought leadership in customer facing situations
Requirements
•5+ years of success in consultative complex sales processes managing various stakeholders and relationships to get consensus on solution / projects
•5+ year’s design, implementation and support of highly distributed applications (having an architectural sense for ensuring availability, reliability, etc.)
•Experience in developing workloads to the cloud including the entire solution architecture: Architecture, Design, POCs, Development, Delivery & Deployment.
•Working knowledge of core IAAS components: Compute, Networking, Storage as well as practical understanding of PAAS solutions such as WenApps, Cloud Services, Mobile Services etc.
•Technical prowess and passion—especially for Windows Azure, modern Application design practices and principles.
•Oversight experience on major transformation projects and successful transitions to implementation support teams
•Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar information technology related discipline.
•Prefers additional training in sales, business or marketing...
