Job Details:
The candidate selected for the Fire Control System (FCS) Mark (MK) 92 equipment Technician Field Engineer, Senior will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the MK 92 and responsible for installation and upgrades to the system which includes Ordnance Alterations (ORDALT). Technician shall install ship set ORDALTS into GFM MK 92 Mod 2 pans, spares and On Board Repair Parts (OBRPs) which shall undergo confidence level testing using ORDALT Instructions, and engineering bulletins MK 92 mods and upgrades include but not be limited to ribbon cable, DSOT turn off, gas system improvement, spare line receiver, transmit/receive tube upgrade, servo control improvements. Technician shall also be responsible for refurbish, and test of the Separate Track Illuminating Radar (STIR) Test Set generator utilizing the latest NAVORD drawings.
Qualifications:
Required Education & Experience: Bachelors degree preferred with 8 years of experience. Navy enlisted code 1102/1102, or Sima level MK 99 Fire Control System training in lieu of degree.
Equivalent experience/education combinations are permitted based on the Typical Minimums required for this job which is a High School Diploma or equivalent experience/combined education with additional technical training equivalent to technical Associate degree, and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned preventive and demand tasks and 12 years of related experience.
Required Skills:
- Candidate should have extensive experience with and knowledge of the MK 92 system operation and maintenance procedures with the ability to train operators.
- Able to work in a diverse corporate/cultural team environment is required.
- Candidate will be subject to drug screening as per company policy.
- Candidate should possess strong personal computing skills to include experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance and submit to a host country mandated HIV test...
