Job Details:
Responsibilities•Edit and assemble news stories for cut-ins, newscasts and other related programming
•Communicate with show producers
•Record microwave and satellite truck video feeds as well as national feeds
•Knowledge of Video on Demand Server (VOD)
•Utilize Newsbrowse
•Prepare pre-pro, tease, edit and archive tapes
•Help maintain video archive system
•Perform other related studio duties that ensure high quality news coverage as assigned
•Perform basics of photojournalism
•Work various shifts as needed (mornings, days and evenings on weekdays and/or weekends)
•Understand and practice ethical journalism
Qualifications/Requirements•Minimum of 2 years experience as a news editor
•High school education

•Willingness to work overtime, overnight shifts and on weekends with short notice
•Must be willing to work in San Diego
•Must be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation
•Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
•Must be 18 years or older
•Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program (INTERNAL POSTINGS ONLY)
