Job Details:
Human Relations Coordinator for a 6-month contract based out of our Ottawa office. Shopify moves at an extremely fast pace and this person will need to be able to maintain, organize, and juggle priorities.
What would a role on the Human Relations team do? Our thoughts so far:
*.We are looking for someone to work on a mobility program which includes;
*.Working with our Talent Acquisition team on assessing active candidates coming from outside of Canada’s eligibility for a work permit
*.Working with our immigration lawyers on facilitating the work permit process
*.Onboarding new foreign workers to Canada and ensure they have a great experience
*.Keeping our HR system and files up to date and accurate
*.Keeping an eye on compliance and working with any stakeholders with ongoing checks and audits
*.Help onboard other new Shopifiers
*.Perform HR Admin tasks, which would include data entry, creating letters, drafting job offers
*.Execute on our health and safety program
*.Continually answering the question, “how can we make this process better?”To be well suited for this role, the majority of these should resonate with you:
*.A history of learning and picking up on new things quickly
*.The ability to get shit done and own your work
*.Some of your mad skills include communicating and organizing
*.A few years of experience in HR
*.Definitely a plus if you’ve worked on Mobility programs before
