Job Details:
This position is part of a global development team based in Cleveland. Working with various functional teams and specifications, the candidate will design, develop, deploy and support a variety of applications used in BDI’s worldwide enterprise.
Responsibilities:
1.Develop and maintain high-volume, low-latency web applications.
2.Develop and maintain technical artifacts and documentation.
3.Create well designed, testable, and efficient code.
4.Ensure design and code meet specifications.
5.Ensure day to day operational integrity of applications with rapid troubleshooting skills when issues arise.
6.Assist in the preparation and deployment of software releases.
7.Support future projects by staying up to date on modern software development practices and technologies.
8.Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Skills:
To qualify for the position, applicants should have experience with much of the following…
1.Solid understanding of common Object Oriented design patterns.
2.Hands on experience designing and developing J2EE applications (Spring, JSP, JUnit, and MVC Architecture).
3.Excellent knowledge of modern web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JSON, XML).
4.Understanding of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
5.Understanding of web servers (Apache, Tomcat, Jetty).
6.Experience using open source tools (Eclipse IDE, git, maven, ant, MySQL, Jenkins).
7.Strong communication, teamwork, and problem solving skills.
Education and Experience:
1.Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required.
2.2+ years of Java development experience.
3.Experience with MS SQL server, hybris, Solr, BIRT, SAP, Agile development processes is a plus...
