Job Details:
Perrywinkle's Fine Jewelry, a regional retailer and manufacturer of luxury jewelry, seeks a Payroll Specialist. The position is full-time and based out of the company’s headquarters in Burlington, VT. Primary responsibility will be the processing of bi-weekly payroll for employees in both the US and Canada. Qualified candidate will ensure accurate processing and recording of company’s payroll using ADP Workforce Now and ADP Pay-at-Work, provide timely and accurate financial information, and perform data entry payroll processing and timekeeping. They will have understanding of payroll practices, taxation, and accruals. This person will be dedicated to delivering high quality and accurate payroll services. 4-6 years’ experience processing payroll is required.
Responsibilities:
*.Accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll for US and Canada operations
*.Process monthly bonus files
*.Manual checks and garnishments as needed
*.Bi-weekly G/L Import and 401k import
*.Monthly accrual calculations
*.Maintain benefit hours for employees
*.Prepare and distribute management reports from payroll systems
*.Maintain personnel files
*.Process ADP invoices
*.Federal and State reporting as needed to ensure compliance
*.Unemployment Claim processing
*.Employment Verification
*.Resolve payroll related inquires and questions
*.Support HR Department as needed
Qualifications:
*.Experience with ADP Workforce Now and ADP Pay-at-Work strongly desired
*.CPP preferred but not required
*.4-6 years’ experience processing multi-state/international payroll
*.Working knowledge of payroll best practices
*.Knowledge of federal and state regulations
*.Knowledge of Canadian regulations desired
*.Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel
*.Strong work ethic and team player
*.High degree of professionalism
*.Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
*.Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
*.Ability to communicate with various levels of management
*.Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
*.Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills..
