Key tasks
1. Establish, maintain, and use his library of reference materials, periodicals, texts and sales leads: stay abreast of market trends and hotel selling techniques.
2. Research the market on a continuing basis to determine where business comes form, what is the influence, who the hotel’s clients are, how they normally arrive in the city, etc.
3. Go on sales trip to promote and solicit business for the hotel.
4. Maintain close contacts & relations within the community and in neighboring marketing areas, with airlines, travel agencies, commercial houses, private club, professional associates, etc … to procure new business for the hotel. This will be done by means of personal sales call (a minimum of 5 call per day), telephone contacts and written communication.
5. Review internal promotion pieces on a regular basis to insure that all hotel sign, posters, tent cards, etc are adequate, up-to- date, visually effective and consistent with high standards set by management.
6. Work closely with the Public Relations Manager and or representative to improve relations between the Hotel and the community; to obtain maximum media coverage of activities within the hotel which are of interest locally and internationally...
