Sr. Project Manager, PMO | Federal Reserve Bank- New York, USA

Job Details:
Responsibilities:
*.Work closely and effectively with an overall program team comprised of leadership from Fiscal Service, National IT and FRBNY
*.Lead FRBNY project resources, comprised of project management, technical and business resources
*.Oversee procurement process and overall vendor engagement which will be focused on application development execution
*.Coordinate all required internal services (e.g., Legal, Board of Governors), as needed
*.Develop and manage all aspects of the project from initiation through closure for FRBNY deliverables, including, but not limited to: project schedule/milestones, scope and requirements definition, budget, resource requirements, progress reports and risk / issue management. The FRBNY will retain principal responsibility for application development, non-functional testing and possibly other tracks of work
*.Manage the PMO team supporting the program including oversight of PMO processes
*.Communicate project status on a regular basis to stakeholders, and escalate issues as needed
*.Ensure that the project incorporates and adheres to Federal Reserve System project management standards
*.Identify key project risks and dependencies, coordinate the inclusion and management of the dependencies in a project strategy and schedule; develop and implement risk mitigation plans
*.Ensure that appropriate and sufficient resources are allocated to the project to achieve successful and timely completion
*.Provide comprehensive project management oversight through the effective coordination of, and communication with business stakeholders, technology support, and senior management to ensure that the project achieves the defined business requirements
*.Manage project team performance to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
*.Contribute to the resolution of technical and testing issues
Travel:Estimated 25%, largely to Washington, D.C. and Parkersburg, WV
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
*.Master’s degree in business, finance, economics, public policy, IT related field or equivalent work experience
*.PMP certification preferred
*.Excellent organizational, planning, communication and analytical skills
*.Demonstrated senior-level project management experience on large projects /programs, in particular application development vendor engagements
*.Proven success as a leader and as a team player, with the ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels within an organizational structure
*.Excellent interpersonal and negotiation/ influence skills
*.Superior initiative and ability to work independently to meet established schedule / budget objectives
*.Ability to anticipate and respond to rapidly evolving needs and priorities
*.Strong Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and SharePoint skills..
