Business Analyst- Transportation Experience | Amazon- Seattle, USA

Job Details:
The Transportation Experience team is looking for Business Analyst to help us improve the way we measure the customer delivery experience and related defects in our transportation system and identify improvement opportunities. We are looking to use data in ways they have not been used before to change some of the mental models about how we understand delivery performance, communicate with our customers before, during, and after a delivery, and when mistakes do occur how we make things right. The role will involve understanding the final mile delivery experience and the system involved with carrier selection, address management, geo-coding and package tracking. In driving for root cause and identifying opportunities you will also work with both transportation carriers, technology and operations teams within Amazon, as well as various business groups as together we identify and implement the right actions to improve the delivery experience for our customers in a scalable and cost effective manner.
To be successful in this role, you need a passion for making data driven decisions which will have direct impact on the customer experience. Some keys to your success are the ability to be an effective communicator to various audiences. The ability to remain flexible and adept to learning new tools and systems is instrumental your role on the team. Our environment is deadline driven, fast paced and requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable interacting or working with multiple teams (business and technical).
*.Completed Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University
*.2+ years of work experience with business analysis, finance, research, supply chain analysis, or strategic development
*.Proficiency in SQL (Oracle), Excel, MySQL and/or Access
*.Experience leading project teams
*.Up to 25% travel
*.MBA or Master’s Degree
*.Strong familiarity with statistics and application of statistics in operations
*.Advanced competency in Excel (pivot tables and charts), MySQL, SQL, Access databases, and adeptness working with datasets
*.Experience driving process improvement, familiarity with 6 sigma / lean, green belt certification
*.Ability to think quantitatively and qualitatively about operating processes and outcomes
*.Experience within an e-commerce retail environment
*.Proven ability to handle multiple priorities
*.Proven independent decision making skills in an often times ambiguous environment...
