Finance Officer | Etihad Airways- UAE

Job Details:
Coordinate all daily activities,verification and reconciliation of accounting/ payroll tasks to ensure timely and accurate execution of all transactions in accordance to internal policies and procedures.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
*.Policies and Procedures
Implement relevant policies,processes and procedures and monitor adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
*.Day-to-Day Operations
Implement the day-to-day standard operations assigned to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.Refer to supervisor for complex tasks which may require exceptions to procedures
*.Safety,Quality & Environment
Comply with all relevant safety,security,quality,health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLITIES
*.Review transactions to ensure their execution is compliant with internal procedures and accounting international standards
*.Analyse and solve issues to provide a timely and accurate resolution in compliance with internal procedures and accounting international standards
*.Manage the periodical closing of books of account to ensure its compliance with internal procedures and accounting standards
*.Review the management monthly end reports to ensure the proper level of detail and accuracy
*.Review the cost control analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal procedures and accounting standards
*.Analyse cost variances to ensure corrective actions are implemented
*.Identify and highlight potential risks and issues to ensure timely resolution
*.Supervise and direct the work of a specialized team by ensuring the timely and accurate execution of all assigned tasks in compliance with internal procedures and regulations
*.Review and monitor the payroll/accounting activities to ensure payroll/transaction runs are executed on time and with reduced risk of errors
*.Identify and analyse discrepancies to ensure they are properly and timely managed
*.Coordinate the payroll administration team to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all activities
*.Prepare analytical reports to ensure communication to the senior management,external&internal auditors,and other stakeholders.
*.Analyse cost variances to ensure corrective actions are implemented
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
*.Minimum Bachelor Degree or a diploma (3 years),Knowledge of main ERP systems (Oracle,SAP) is preferred
*.Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or payroll role.
