Job Details:
Microsoft Payments is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join a dynamic team focused on enabling new products and services for Microsoft. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will perform a key management and control role within the entity. This role will have responsibility for statutory and management accounting, financial controls & compliance and reporting. This role requires a high degree of collaboration and will partner closely with Operations and Compliance as well as other global Finance groups. The successful candidate will have a strong aptitude for technology and processes, be results oriented, open to change and thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure robust financial and accounting processes and controls are in place to meet all applicable rules, regulations and requirements
• Ensure financial and accounting process and controls are executed to the appropriate standard, in a timely manner
• Manage the monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely financials, in accordance with policies and local GAAP
• Deliver high quality and on-time financial and management reporting
• Support on time, accurate regulatory reporting
• Engage with external auditors on statutory audit
• Collaborate with key partners with in the organization and outsourced parties to ensure effective engagement, communication and issue resolution
• Drive continuous process improvement
Profile & Skills Desired:
• 8+ years Financial Controller experience, preferably in a similar environment with understanding of Online Payments / Online E-Commerce / Financial Services industry
• Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
• Experience in a global, dynamic, fast paced environment
• Familiarity and/or working experience with financial regulatory requirements a plus
• Experience working with outsource providers
• Deliver results against demanding timelines
• Strong cross group collaboration and communication
• Strong aptitude for technology and process
• Please note this position will be based in Dublin, Ireland, however there will be occasions where international travel is required
