Job Details:
*.Conducts risk assessments regarding Legal & Regulatory requirements for Shell businesses and Functions.
*.Provides L&R expertise to the Risk and Controls community on projects and provide second tier support as required
*.Works with the L&R LRSE (Legal and Regulatory Security Expert) and maintains common guidance material regarding Legal & Regulatory topics in relation to Information Management and IT. This includes support for development of policies, standards, procedures and documentation for managing Legal & Regulatory risks taking into account current best practices, public standards and legislation.
*.Maintains Legal and Regulatory content in the IT Control Framework supporting the LRSE. Trains Business, Functions and IT/IRM staff on IRM Legal and Regulatory Risk Assessments, Processes and Guidance Materials.
*.Develops expertise in Legal and Regulatory topics and their relation to Information Management and IT (including Antitrust, Data Privacy and Trade Controls).
*.Builds effective networks with Legal, the Shell Ethics and Compliance Office, Business Compliance Officers and IT/IRM.
*.Works with IRM Risk & Control Analysts and IT application specialists to ensure that trade control requirements and processes are designed into new applications.
*.Supports an L&R network in IRM that effectively reaches out to all parts of the IT organization on L&R topics.
*.Ensures that all relevant material is signed off by accountable SMEs in Legal, the Shell Ethics and Compliance Office, and IT/IRM.
*.Contributes to and further develop a continued effort to ensure all parts of the IT organization comply with the Data Privacy, Trade Controls, Records Management and other L&R requirements.
Requirements
*.Legal education with strong IT experience or IT education with a strong legal experience.
*.Has a good understanding of the IT Controls Framework, in particular risk assessment and control selection
*.General knowledge or experience with control frameworks
*.Knowledge of Legal and Regulatory requirements in relation to Information Management and IT (E.g. Data Privacy, Trade Controls, Antitrust).
*.Demonstrates ability to work in a virtual team without the need for detailed supervision
*.Demonstrates delivery-focus, dealing with multiple and often conflicting priorities
*.Can-do self-starter attitude with a keen interest in the Legal and IRM interface
*.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
*.Has a systematic and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
*.Demonstrates good inter-personal skills.
*.Demonstrates high standards of professional behaviour in dealings with business customers, colleagues and staff.
*.Has a good technical awareness and the aptitude to remain up to date with information security, software development, technology and IT architecture developments.
*.Possesses a general understanding of the business applications of IT.
*.Good written and oral communication skills, especially towards non-IT stakeholders..
