Photo Art Director - Pottery Barn | Williams-Sonoma, Inc.- San Francisco, USA

Job Details:
Contributes to our in-house Creative team. Responsible for conceptualization, direction and execution of the Creative photography assets for primarily print but also web and retail.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
-Elevates and evolves the photographic assets while supporting the overall brand direction.
-Develops and executes creative concepts to ensure photo direction is aligned with the PB brand.
-Takes ideas from concept to final execution with ease.
-Art directs photography shoots.
-Manages talent for photo shoots. Researches locations, photographers, and occasionally hair and makeup artists, stylists and models.
-Facilitates post-production of shoots.
-Collaborates daily with Creative Director, Creative Design team and cross functional partners including merchants.
-Meets budget and schedule parameters.
-Maintains positive work environment and high creative standards.
-Conceptualize, plan and manage photo shoots, including directing team on shoots.
-Lead team of photographers, photo techs, stylists, delivering a high-output of creative assets in a fast-paced environment
-Partner with internal and external cross-functional teams to ensure creative standards are met while innovating and keeping on brand
-Build bridges, bringing teams that have uniquely different experiences together to build great creative
-Must obsess over the details
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONSBachelor of Arts Degree
-6+ years of related professional Art Director experience, preferably within the retail or editorial industry
-Portfolio that demonstrates thought and leadership.
-Strong design background and eye for composition
-A positive and professional attitude at all times
-Strong time management, communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to multi-task
-In-depth knowledge of photographers and production processes
-Ability to shift gears in a face-paced continually evolving environment
-Proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign and Excel.
-Team-oriented and collaborative approach to Creative development.
-Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, efficiently and correctly.
-Solid understanding of on-set operations for both interiors, exteriors and still life.
-Knowledge of fashion and retail industries.
-Ability to embrace an occasionally heavy travel schedule...
