Job Details:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Designing and adapting systems to meet new scaling and functional demands
• Integration with existing continuous integration infrastructure and tooling
• Response to critical service outages (during normal working hours)
• Ongoing automation of manual tasks and optimization of existing automation
Your Professional Profile:
• Cloud IaaS like AWS EC2/S3, Azure Storage Services, etc.
(familiarity with consistency issues in distributed systems)
• Experience consuming and hosting REST APIs
• Strong Python development skills
• Basic Bash scripting
• Good understanding of both GIT and Mercurial
Additional skills:
• Past experience working in the open (we love looking at your past open source projects)
• Experience automating builds/tests on Windows, bonus points for doing it in the cloud
• C++, Go, node.js, debugging, building large projects
• Docker and Heroku
• Knowledge of Linux and OS X automation. QEMU / embedded device testing are a big bonus.
• Configuration management tools like puppet, chef, or ansible..
