This is an exciting time for CGI with many of our clients engaging in Digital Transformation utilising cutting edge technologies, working in Agile and hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments, providing you with an opportunity to deliver leading-edge solutions to our clients in the Digital space and to help continually develop the way in which CGI delivers Agile projects. Day-to-day you will be responsible for working with that team to design, create and improve new and existing products, platforms and services for our clients.

Essential Skills
• Solid experience of greenfield and brownfield development using Java
• Solid experience of working in full Agile environments
• Solid experience of agile software engineering disciplines such as TDD, CI, Refactoring etc
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in automated unit testing tools such as Junit and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
• Expertise in lightweight frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate
• Exposure to Open Source Middleware Technologies such as JBoss
• Mentoring and leadership of more junior developers
Desirable skills
• Experience in building Cloud hosted solutions
• Experience of working with a consultancy company in a client facing role
• Specific domain expertise in Government or Public Sector Projects
• Recognised accreditation in Java (OJCP preferred)
• Experience of working on multiple projects concurrently
• Experience of DevOps tooling such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible
• Exposure to NoSQL Databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Accreditation in Agile techniques..
