The Treasury Department's purpose is to enhance Cargill's competitiveness and its ability to be the partner of choice by delivering world class financial and risk management products and services. Our mission is to deliver imaginative and value creating solutions in: credit access and relationship management, funding and foreign exchange, cash management and operations, financial consulting and analysis.
This position is responsible for executing the day-to-day operational activity for the GFG/EMT trading initiative, Treasury service desk and long term debt and related hedging. This position collaborates frequently with personnel located in other regions as well as with Accounting and Trading.
Principal Accountabilities:
70% - Execute daily operational activity for the Global Funding Group and Emerging Markets trading initiative, Treasury funding and service desks, and long term debt and related hedging. This includes the daily settlement of trades, trade confirmations, document management, and margin settlement.
25% - Participate in operations related projects and respond to ad-hoc requests from Treasury and Trading.
5% - Serve as a back-up for other members of the operations team.
Qualifications
Required:
*.Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
*.Strong verbal and written communication skills
*.Demonstrated initiative and ability to effectively manage workload in a growth business
*.Attention to Detail and Accuracy
*.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, etc )
Preferred:
*.Experience using IRIS
*.Experience using financial markets trading/operations systems such as FxAll, Bloomberg, Markit, DTCC etc...
