Job Details:
The purpose of the team is to support Financial Control in achieving its objectives by facilitating improvements to processes and systems, either to resolve issues or increase efficiency & effectiveness.
The Financial Control Change Management team - in order to meet control, efficiency and cost objectives of the Firm - is responsible for
i) Managing the controlled roll-out of systems, and
ii) Process improvement & design.
The role is for a Business Analyst to work within the Financial Control Change Management Team supporting the firm’s Local Regulatory Reporting Programme.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Daily Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
The key activities for the change analyst/manager in the Projects team will involve the whole project lifecycle and includes:
1) Working with user representatives to determine the business requirements. This must involve a thorough consideration of all implications of these requirements to the business, including the identification of any potential issues or functional omissions
2) Participate in deliveries planning. Assisting with documenting the analysis carried out, (this may include for example gap analysis, the production of process flows, use cases and scenarios).
3) The change analyst/manager must be able to fully explain all process flows to relevant stakeholders.
5) Identifying analysis and manage issues/risks on a timely basis and escalate as appropriate
6) Being the ‘translator’ between the business and IT, providing business expertise when required.
7) Preparation and execution of all activities within the plan, including testing, user procedures and training packs
8) As in all roles, a high degree of flexibility is required. Projects sometimes involve travel and/or long hours at critical stages in the lifecycle
9)Risk and Control Objective :Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards.
Requirements
Technical Knowledge
Essential:
*.Knowledge of accounting and accounting systems
*.Formal project management / business analysis training / qualifications
*.Should have worked on technologies : AXIOM, Regpro, RAMCO system
*.Should have handled projects in regulatory reporting and financial reporting domain
*.4-5 years post qualification experience
*.Background in Finance / Banking
*.Experience in Finance Change function and Investment banking experience is essential
*.Full project lifecycle experience
*.Track record in completing projects/ assignments including both business requirements gathering and testing.
