Job Details:
The Financial Accountant will manage the general accounting newly migrated functions in order to ensure accuracy and control and the smooth operation of the day to day functions of the General Accounting team in a fast paced changing environment in support of country Accounting Manager and Business Partner requirements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Month End Reporting:To assist & support the month end close schedule, ensure the financial results are correctly and accurately reported, maintain financial records in accordance with US GAAP, prepare and enter journals into the Oracle financial system.
*.
FRGAAP Statutory Reporting
Support SCCs teams and country departments in French GAAP and Tax compliance. Support the country specific statutory filing requirements and statutory preparation
*.
Tax and Financial Statement Audit: To prepare documentation to support the financial statements audit both internally and externally, to assist in the preparation for the finalisation of the corporation tax accounts.
*.
Preparation and review ofbalance sheet reconciliations.
*.
Fixed Assets: To ensure all asset additions are assigned to the correct category and cost center before being entered into Oracle Fixed Assets; to ensure any disposals, retirements and adjustments of fixed assets are recorded in accordance with the relevant accounting policies and that all necessary documentation is complete.

VAT: To assist in the preparation of the VAT return, to ensure all annual documentation is completed, to ensure all sales / purchases of goods and services are treated correctly.

Other tasks: Analysis/review of all P&L accounts, to review open purchase order report, to resolve and respond to accounting queries, ad-hoc project work.
Essential Requirements:
What do we need from you?
*.
Strong accounting skills – Preferably fully qualified accountant or at final stages of accounting qualification along with experience (ACCA, ACA)
*.Strong knowledge of FRGAAP
Professional Experience:
*.Previous experience in Financial/Accounting environment essential
*.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office essential
*.Previous team management experience an advantage
Skills:
*.Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate at all levels
