a.Purpose of Role
As Head of Treasury section to ensure that GGBL has: An effective Cash Management Strategy and lead all aspects of Treasury.
Top Accountabilities
*.Manage the relationships between GGBL and all of the Banking Partners
*.Manage the relationships between GGBL and Diageo Africa, Diageo Business Services (for I/C), Diageo Treasury, and any external Government authorities.
*.Advise GGBL Finance Leadership Team on Equity/Debt ratios, Foreign Currency requirements, Short/Medium/ Long-term borrowing requirements, Dividend payments, and relationship Banking Partners.
*.Preparation of monthly, quarterly rolling Cash Flow forecasts (1-year & 5-year)
*.Preparation of rolling Foreign Currency forecasts, to enable timely payment of Foreign Currency Invoices to 3rd Party Suppliers (2-weekly & Quarterly). Manage forex risk and leverage opportunities where possible.
*.Lead the Working Capital Management and Cash Conversion agendas for GGBL by pulling together Debtors, Creditors and Inventory forecasts and identifying and implementing actions to improve Working Capital.
*.Ensure timely payment of: Inter-Company Balances / Royalties & TSF / Dividends / Taxes.
*.Working with the Diageo Risk, Offshore and Local Brokers to ensure company assets are adequately insured against all insurable risks.
*.Delivery of all the necessary Audit requirements for the Treasury function.
*.Coaching, development, and effective succession planning Assistants.Qualifications and Experience Required
*.Fully Qualified Accountant
*.Minimum of 7 years post qualification experience in similar roles with proven integrity.
*.Ability to take commercial insights and translate into the Organisation & People Agenda including good customer service.
*.Proven ability to facilitate, persuade, influence and build credibility with all levels and all functions.
*.Analytical, interpretative and decision-making skills.
*.Excellent coaching and relationship building skills.
*.Good communication and presentation skill.
*.Good team player with good coaching skills.
*.Sound IT knowledge in the use of outlook (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
*.Experience of writing funding papers, treasury internal and external communications.
*.Working knowledge in accounting package- RTR SAP.
