WHAT YOU’LL DO:
*.Own the creative direction of Vimeo’s brand communications and marketing campaigns
*.Evolve Vimeo’s brand to expand audience reach, grow creator acquisition, and help position Vimeo as a global brand representing the home for the world’s best videos and the awesome people who make them
*.Plan and execute campaigns to promote our growing catalog of featured titles and Vimeo Originals on our On Demand platform
*.Ensure design and brand consistency for a fast-paced and continually evolving technology company
*.Help execute upcoming global marketing campaigns which will be, humbly speaking, badass
*.Dream up innovative ways to make traditional marketing campaigns less “blah” and more “BAM.” (Think Taco Bell airdrops, but for online video.)
*.Define and develop the Vimeo visual language and design patterns for all our communications collateral
*.Work side-by-side with Nike-wearing creative, marketing, business, and senior-executive type people to make important decisions around each campaign’s creative direction
*.Raise the bar (and roof) of our external marketing communications to match the high-quality products we’re building day in and day out
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE YOU SHOULD POSSESS:
*.Visual chops and the technical skills to match — typeset a beautiful logo then animate that beast
*.2+ years of experience as a marketing, brand, or equivalent designer at an agency, or in-house for well-established brands
*.An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant experience in everything from animated banner ads and emails to editorial design and out-of-home campaigns, and any other ridiculously impressive design things you’ve had a hand in
*.A tendency to roll your eyes when job descriptions use words like "rockstar designer," or "intuitive design sensibility” since, you know, duh
*.A deep passion for brand integrity — you should consider yourself a staunch defender of brand values and guidelines
*.Experience working as part of a collaborative team of marketers, writers, editors, and other creative GSDers
*.Confidence in articulating and explaining the thinking behind your designs and the solutions you present
*.Respect and patience for timelines, iterative design, and a tendency toward creative problem solving
*.Be a perennial self-starter who can create schedules and define scope-of-work, even without explicit requirements and direction
BONUS POINTS:
*.Experience with kinetic typography, visual effects, or video production.
*.Time spent in-house with an established brand evolving their marketing communications.
*.Familiarity with video-based or subscription products.
*.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
