Job Details:
You’ll take an active role on both sides and define how the application looks as well as how it works. This is a unique opportunity to support, maintain and reinvent our reporting & analytics site our staff use to obtain information and insights through reports, dashboards and interactive tools.
Responsibilities:
*.Design, develop, test and deploy. Fix bugs, troubleshoot and resolve problems. Assume ownership of code throughout development, staging, testing and production.
*.Evaluate code to ensure that it is valid, is properly structured, meets industry standards and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
*.Liaise with relevant business and technical teams in relation to delivering solutions.
*.Develop and document style guidelines for web site content.
*.Recommend and implement performance improvements.
*.Maintain understanding of current web technologies or programming practices through continuing education, reading, or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups.
*.Develop new user-facing features.
*.Optimization for maximum speed and scalability.
*.Deliver assigned work in a timely fashion and take ownership of identifying and communicating any delays to stakeholders.
Required Skills:
*.Degree graduate, specialized training, and / or equivalent work experience
At least 3 years hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API's.
*.Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
*.A clear understanding of Web technologies and internet protocols (XML,HTTP, TCP/IP)
*.Solid experience with building highly scalable / available PHP web applications.
*.Experience in development and deployment tools (such as eclipse etc.)
Excellent English communication (speaking and writing)
Back end web development experience will be advantageous but not essential...
