General Responsibilities
*.Support team colleagues to deliver MBB Solutions and tenders in the case where the individual is not overall responsible
*.Maintain local business intelligence on competitors and customer deployments
*.Support sales activities within the region following the Ericsson Core 3 process
*.Supporting the sales and delivery organization with product and network integration expertise
*.As the solution and technical expert, drive customer discussions and meetings
*.Helping to set technical guidelines with regard to local solutions
*.Assisting with advisory studies, pre- studies, requirements analysis, product selections
*.Support for customer demonstrations
*.Help to define high level acceptance criteria
*.Understand the competitive landscape and standards bodies
*.Active participant in Knowledge sharing activities
*.Help identify gaps in the Ericsson portfolio
General
Essential
*.Thorough knowledge of the GSM, WCDMA and LTE network environments and the potential application of Ericsson products to that environment.
*.Detailed experience of Ericsson RAN Hardware products (Base stations and Controller), and practicalities of deployments, RF performance, and overall site design requirements and solutions.
*.A strong understanding of at least one major vendors complete RAN product portfolio, this includes BTS, Node B, eNode B, BSC, RNC, Site Solutions, Access Transmission Solutions, Software and Features. (Preferred vendor is Ericsson)
*.A high degree of competence in at least one of the following specific areas:
*.Physical Site Design
*.Site Solution Products and Solutions
*.Power and Amplifier Technologies
*.BTS and Node B Hardware Dimensioning
*.RNC and BSC Hardware Dimensioning
*.Total Cost of Ownership Models & Operator Business Case development
*.IP RAN Transport
(Note, There is a preference for a high degree of Base Station and Site competence).
*.An awareness and interest in emerging technologies and standards, e.g. LTE Advanced, HetNet
*.Strong RF competence
*.Strong understanding of operators Total Cost of Ownership models
Desirable
*.Awareness of the Core network functionality and the relationship of features / functionality in the RAN to CN evolution.
*.A good understanding of cellular radio performance and optimisation techniques for GSM, WCDMA and LTE
*.Understanding of the required RF planning , tuning and optimisation processes and the challenges this places on an operator, together with the opportunities it provides to Ericsson in terms of functionality and service offerings.
*.An understanding of the RAN OSS requirements and challenges.
