Job Details:
Job Functions:
*.Proactively work with business unit leaders and managers to identify needs and opportunities to support achievement of business objectives and managers’ and employees’ success.
*.Counsel Managers in matters of policy, process and employee performance. Exercise independent judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
*.Conduct regular meetings with respective business units.
*.Consult with line management providing HR guidance when appropriate.
*.Counsel leadership teams and employees on society relevant or governmental development programs like ie BEE in the area of HR; create necessary policies and change management in this area
*.Manage and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and responsive manner and escalate as appropriate. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
*.Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/required.
*.Provides day to day and proactive performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
*.Facilitate and lead talent and performance calibration discussions with leadership teams.
*.Utilizes Centralized HR Support model to handle transactional requests and provides coaching to HR Coordinators;
*.Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
*.Provide guidance and support in administering HDS HR policies, programs and procedures to ensure employees receive fair and reasonable treatment while minimizing legal liabilities.
*.Participate in recruiting: establishing recruiting strategy and interviewing for cultural fit; May also develop offer terms for new hires, promotions, transfers.
*.May assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
*.Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning.
*.Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
*.Regularly analyze HR data, trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
*.Participate in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.
