Job Details:
The Product Manager – Adaptations & Solutions is a vital role required to drive growth through acquisition of new customers and expanding with existing customers by offering tailored solutions and securing a high level of customer commitments, satisfaction and loyalty.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational aspects of product management for the Mobile line of business (LoB) and owns the definition and development of new extensions and customizations of existing product lines as well as solutions based on specific customer’s requirements.Xantrex is a customer centric LoB of Schneider Electric focused on on-board AC power and battery charging for the mobile markets serving various industries including RV, Marine, Heavy-Duty Truck, Utility, Emergency Response and Specialty Vehicles. You will also be responsible to provide a high level of product support to our customer base by working closing with the sales and technical support teams.
The successful candidate has experience as a Product Manager in a highly technical environment. This role is responsible for development & analysis of requirements for new product features requirements or product variation adaptations, making business case for the proposed ideas, developing & executing the project plans for the proposed product ideas, being the product owner & project manager to work closely with the engineering team to deliver the product offer.
Responsibilities:
*.Product champion & project leader to manage product adaptation projects end-to-end, driving the projects from requirements to implementation to delivery to customers.
*.Work with Sales, Channel Marketing, Customers, Purchasing, Suppliers and Engineering to capture market requirements; translate into engineering specification and deliverables; develop business case proposals and prioritize adaptation projects.
*.Develop quick quoting tools for adaptations to standard product offer
*.Work with the Marketing team to launch the adapted product for targeted customer applications.
*.Advocate for the voice of customer to the internal stakeholders.
*.Work with engineering team & related functional teams to drive adaptation projects through the development process in a timely manner.
*.Assist with development of Mobile Power Product Roadmap and new offer creation through conduction of market research, field visits, evaluation of new business opportunities, planning and implementing product marketing materials and working with Sales and Channel Marketing to launch new product offers.
*.Provide product support to sales team, customer support team and internal cross functional groups including sustaining engineering activities required to keep a high level of customer satisfaction.
*.Complete operational aspects of product life cycle management including but not limited to maintenance of product characteristics in ERP; reporting on product quality and business performance; development of action plans to address issues; supporting product launch and field trial validations; discontinuation process; creation, preparation, deployment and management of product training and support and sales tools.
*.Answer product related questions from internal stakeholders and Customers
*.Attend trade shows and visit customers as needed
*.Stay current on technology advancements in the market as it relates to our products, solutions and our customers.
