Position Location: Victoria, BC
Responsibilities :
*.
Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
*.
Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
*.
Complete assessments on approved lift devices including home elevators, porch lifts, ceiling track lifts, stair glides, ramps, vehicle lifts & conversions, etc.
*.
Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
*.
Work with funding sources to provide any necessary information to assist in the approval process.
*.
Ensure all necessary permits, approvals, and permissions are received in writing prior to proceeding with order.
*.
Assist service department with the installation or service of equipment as required.
*.
Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
*.
Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
*.
Analyzes the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers’ value to the organization.
*.
Creates and manages a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities.
*.
Identifies advantages and compares organization’s products/services.
*.
Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment.
*.
Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
*.
Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
*.
Participates in trade shows and conventions.
*.
Provide product in-services to therapist and caregiver groups to help build
J ob Knowledge or Work Experience:
*.
3 years’experience in a sales related position
*.
Knowledge of HME equipment and elevation products including stair lifts, porch lifts, ceiling and floor lifts, and vehicle lift applications is an asset.
Skills/Abilities:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*.
Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving
*.
Ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).
*.
Results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
*.
Extremely well organized with the ability to keep meticulous records and filing systems
*.
Detail oriented
*.
Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and support
*.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software.
*.
Knowledge of building & national elevating codes for related products.
*.
Project management and coordination with suppliers, sub contractors and in house installation and service personel.
Education:
*.
Post-secondary degree or diploma in relevant program (business, sales & marketing, etc.)
Additional Requirements

Clean criminal background check and bondable

Valid Driver’s License
