Overview:
ResMed is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work with a talented development team in our Healthcare Informatics product development group here in sunny San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in working on large scale / high volume web applications and writing code that is optimized for high performance, high availability, and scalability.
Responsibilities:
*.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
*.Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience working on high volume / high transaction web applications and services
*.Strong Java and JEE expertisewith strong experience in Java application performance analysis and tuning
*.Expert experience with Spring
*.Experience with Hibernate, JBoss, and relational databases
*.Experience working within an Agile software development process, particularly Scrum
*.Proven track record leading development teams and delivering complex Java web applications
*.Experience with test driven development (TDD), continuous integration and knowledge of behavior driven development (BDD)
Requirements:
*.Familiarity with Cucumber and Feature File creation
*.Familiarity with Bamboo, Confluence, and JIRA
*.Familiarity with SVN and GIT
*.Medical device industry experience
*.Prior project leadership or people leadership experience a big plus
Responsibilities:
*.Build best-in-class web based medical applications that are reliable, scalable, and simple to use
*.Collaborate day to day with a small team of software developers
*.Provide design guidance for the team
*.Understand and promote the quality policy
*.Interface with other project stakeholders ensure that the system objectives are balanced with overall project objectives
*.Assist management in the development of software development processes which improve the ability to meet product system requirements
*.Maintain technical skills and awareness of technical improvements
