Overview:
An excellent opportunity has become available to join Elliott Group as a Service Sales Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business for Aftermarket Services in the UK and Europe.
These services will include inspections, servicing, maintenance, repairs, retrofits and spare parts for Steam Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, Axial Compressors and their associated equipment.
Responsibilities:
As a Service Sales Engineer your main responsibilities will involve:
*.Meet or exceed the regional annual booking quota as established by the corporate business plan.
*.Visit customers to develop relationships, review opportunities, and ensure Elliott Group is correctly positioned in the market place.
*.Regularly review the opportunity list with the Regional Sales Manager to ensure these are aligned with company objectives.
*.Foster and maintain good working relationships with Manufacturer’s reps (if applicable) & Sales Representatives in assigned territory.
*.
Recommend the appointment of local sales representatives and provide training and management when required.
*.
Regularly review market changes and dynamics to ensure opportunities are being pursued in-line with the company’s strategy.
*.
Provide reports & status updates to the Regional Sales Manager and other senior executives as required.
*.
Work effectively with New Equipment division to maximize opportunities with both new equipment and aftermarket services.
*.
Keep customers well informed of new technology developments from the Company's Research and Development Departments.
*.
Participate in Road Shows, Open Days and Trade Fairs.
Qualifications:
As a Service Sales Engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
*.BEng, BSc Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in a business related discipline.
*.Proven track record of sales within the service portfolio of turbomachinery to the oil/petrochemical markets.
*.Knowledge of rotating equipment and previous sales experience in aftermarket services is desirable.
*.Proven track record of generating new business and managing relationships with new and existing customers.
*.An innovative and self-motivated salesperson.
*.Experienced with international customers.
*.Proficiency with MS Office in Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
*.Excellent command of the English language.
*.Ability to speak and write a second language is desirable.
Base Location
Home based with frequent travel throughout Europe.
