Principal Duties and Responsibilities
*.Supporting client engagement work in a variety of industries, areas and specialisms
*.Assisting in the scoping and delivery of Big Data solutions
*.Designing Big Data architectures
*.Delivering the concept of Big Data Lake
*.Sizing and planning of Hadoop clusters
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
*.Third level qualification in Computer Science/Engineering or a related discipline
*.Ideally, 2 or 3 years’ experience in one or more of the following:
*.Java, Python, Scala
*.Hadoop architecture
*.Hadoop cluster sizing
*.MapReduce/ YARN application design
*.Applied problem solving using Hadoop technologies
*.HBase schema design
*.Designing ETL/ Data Load architectures within the Hadoop Ecosystem
*.Streaming applications design with Storm and Spark Streaming
*.In memory applications design with Spark
*.Designing reporting solutions with Hadoop
*.Previous client facing/ consulting experience
*.Highly motivated
*.Proven ability to work on own initiative within a challenging and dynamic work environment
*.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
*.Experience leading and motivating teams
*.Ability to build relationships internally and with clients
*.Business development experience - e.g. meeting and presenting to clients, developing proposals, selling follow on work
*.Excellent communication (both spoken and written), planning, project management, networking and influencing skills
*.Ability to assist in project planning and task estimation
*.Ability to prioritise tasks and work on multiple assignments
*.Strong analytical skills and a logical approach...
