Job Details:
Monjasa is looking to hire an experienced finance professional, who has specialised in Hedging and Derivatives Accounting with experience in dealing with African accounting and in working for a Big 4 firm. The position is full time and is expected to be occupied as soon as possible.
Job description
You will be part of a team consisting of 11 employees, who together perform the back-office functionality in Monjasa DMCC. Due to the dynamic and at times hectic environment, it is important that you are good at cooperating and are willing to make an extra effort in stressful situations.
Areas of focus
*.Experience with preparation of external financial reports according to IFRS
*.Practical experience in Hedging and Derivatives accounting
Experience in African accounting and tax rules would be an added benefit
*.Mandatory experience in auditing, presently at experienced Senior Associate level or above
*.Preparation of monthly financial statements, as well as testing
*.underlying reconciliations
*.Preparation of complex consolidation
*.Preparation of budget
*.Co-ordination with auditors
*.Distinctive analytical and review skills
*.Proactive in development and improvement of business processes, as well as updating Standard Operating procedure
*.Participation in the development of finance structure for new
*.subsidiaries and branches
*.Cooperating and is willing to go extra mile when required
*.Passionate and visionary in relation to the development of the Finance department
*.Fluent in written/oral English, Portuguese linguistic skills and able to multi-task
*.Other ad hoc tasks

*.Experience with preparation of external financial reports according to IFRS
*.3-8 years of experience with accountancy firm
*.You have relevant financial background
*.Flair for IT (MS Office and experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Navision Attain or equivalent)
*.Experience from the oil and gas industry
*.Fluent in written/oral English, Portuguese linguistic is an added advantage
