What we look for are BSc, MSc or PhD students who are passionate about technology, with skills in some of the following areas:
• Java/Web Programming skills – Demonstrated practical experience by way of final year project in Java/Web and interim placement experience would be advantageous
• Web 2.0 skills: AJAX, Javascript, XML, Dojo etc
• Angular/Node skills
• Basic skills across multiplatform operating systems, Windows and Linux in particular
• Relational database skills eg MS SQL, Oracle, DB2
• Good understanding of software development process/cycle
• Test automation skills across a leading automation tools/frameworks (e.g. Selenium, JUnit, Rational Functional Tester, Microsoft MSTest)
• Understanding of Networking and HTTP
• Ability to demonstrate a systematic approach to problem solving
