Job Details:
The purpose of the job is:
*.Trouble-shooting technical problems on automine system installations.
*.Programming of systems on the server to suit automine system installations, upgrades or enhancements.
*.Modification of existing I.T systems and communications to suit automine systems.
*.To identify the automine infrastructure requirements and maintenance of that infrastructure for the Sandvik customers to support the development and sale of automine services as a paid Mining Consultancy Service Offering from Trans4mine (both externally & internally).
*.To provide subject matter, expertise, specialist skills and experience in devising best practice customer processes related to automated mining.
Responsibilities:
*.The incumbent will be required to travel in the field, visit sites, provide technical support to performance contracts and field service technicians when they cannot solve a problem.
*.Will also be required to trouble-shoot complex technical problems experienced in the field, run tests and trials as well as machine modifications as per product bulletins.
*.The incumbent has to be able to assist in setting up and maintaining new Automation projects like Automine, Automine Lite and Optimine and assist and help the customer on product related queries.
*.To assist engineers in defining required site measurement parameters and base case performance metrics necessary to implement automation products and services.
*.To provide support with in-depth analysis of customer applications and operations to implement automation products and services.
*.To assist engineers, where possible, to add operational expertise in the construction of models such as the ORI, MAPS and data captured from automation products to deliver the intended outcomes of these models and ultimately add value to trans4mine clients.
Safety and Enviroment:
*.Ensure the development of systems and subsequent feedback to Product Areas and Market Areas regarding trends in best practise safety features and initiatives within the market place for automine.
Business growth and development interaction:
*.Assist with targeting the top 10 MUST WIN projects for value added underground mining studies and automation introduction from the global account management portfolio
*.Studies focus is to improve safety, increase productivity & reduce waste at customer sites by:
*.Applying global best practices in safety, mining, maintenance, mine planning and training.
*.Increasing knowledge and awareness (information management).
*.Starting with the basics and only then proceeding in manageable steps with each customer.
*.Defining and implementing robust systems and processes.
*.Implementing benchmark standards and operating procedures
*.Train and mentor both trans4mine engineers and customer personnel in optimized mechanized mining practices
*.Reducing customer personnel exposure in high risk areas through automation.
*.Support in the development of strategic customer relationships that will extend to new and/or improved profitability to both Sandvik Mining and its customers.
*.Assist in and expand trans4mine services into remaining sales areas as a centrally managed autonomous service offering.
Financial Management:
*.Provide monthly information to enable the creation of financial results and forecasts for the business & account development teams...
