Summary:
Leads the sales organization for the regions of Ontario and is accountable for delivering the annual business plan for DePuy Synthes business. Sets high level strategic sales plan in effort to grow the Ontario DePuy Synthes business
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver the topline sales commitment in the annual business plan through execution of the operational plan
Manage company assets to ensure delivery of DePuy Synthes Canada business plan
Work closely with Directors of Marketing and Product Managers to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for all of our lines including but not limited to pricing decisions
Establish and maintain relationships with key customers in both the clinical and administrative sides of the business
Establish and maintain relationships with Sales Agents and Associates to ensure success of delivering annual business plan
Monitor service levels and sales activity and make changes or additions to the sales force as needed
Help lead negotiations in key accounts to establish and/or maintain strategic, sustainable agreements
Manage spending to ensure compliance and staying within budget commitments
Meet budgeted sales targets
Set goals for sales force in Ontario
Implement the overall sales strategy
Hire, monitor, and release Sales Agents as required
Work with agents on customer deals and RFP’s
Develop Relationships with customers – Surgeons, OR, and Purchasing
Assist Director of Marketing at the National Sales Meeting as required
Attend meetings, Conventions, Business dinners etc. as required in Region
Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and compliance at all times
Consistently know and follow the policies and the ethical and legal responsibilities that apply to the role
Diligently participate in assigned compliance program-related initiatives and activities
Actively support our compliance-related activities, and be personally available to assist in these activities when needed
Qualifications
University degree required
French/English bilingualism an asset
5+ years of sales experience, preferably in Orthopaedics/Neurosurgery
Minimum two years’ experience managing people
Exceptional knowledge of sales process mandatory
Orthopaedics/Neurosurgery experience preferred with knowledge of the medical device industry
Excellent knowledge of the Orthopaedic/Neurosurgery market, (Products, HCP’s, KOL’s, Buying groups, etc.)
Ability to travel 50%+
Strong financial analytical skills necessary to develop sales plans and strategic agreements with major customers and Sales Agents
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Fundamental EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and other client based software tools
Safe driving record required....
