Sr. Associate Financial Analyst | Thermo Fisher Scientific- Singapore

Job Details:
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in weekly sales forecast calls with sales managers and territory lead. Prepare and submit forecast files to APAC.
- Manage End of Quarter revenue reporting. Liaise with sales managers, finance and customer fulfilment to understand shipment and order status. Prepare EOQ forecast reports.
- Assist in the preparation of annual operating budget.
- Prepare monthly spending forecast. Monitor actual spending and highlight any variances or cost savings. Work with finance to ensure monthly accruals are properly done.
- Analyse and distribute monthly management reports to business partners. Provide analysis on sales trend, margin, marketing effectiveness and spending.
- Provide analytic support for special project.
- Develop analytical tools, systems and processes to support the business.
- Provide analytical reports to business partners.
- Other activities as assigned by the FP&A manager.
Requirements:
The Financial Analyst must have:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or related area
- Experience with both management and financial reporting
- Minimum 3 years of experienceworking in management accounting or analyst type roles
Critical skills include:
- Strong understanding of financial statements and financial systems
- Strong proficiency in MS office applications, especially Excel
- Strong systems skills with ability to learn new systems quickly. SAP, Cognos, Business Object and E1 experience highly desired.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills. Attention to working with details.
- Capability of multi-tasking and prioritising projects/tasks
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to anticipate and adapt to changes in the business environment
- Fluent spoken and written English is required
- Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills with a proactive and commonsense approach to issue resolution. A hands-on style and an enjoyment derived from working closely with teams will be necessary. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written will be necessary to communicate effectively across the regions.
