Job Details:
1. Lead Electrical contractors in field installation/ construction activities with high safety standards; ensure all construction activities are comply to authorities, industrial and company HSE standards and requirements.
2. Coordinate Electrical related work (e.g projects, turnarounds) inclusive scoping, scheduling and execution.
3. Ensure cost optimization through LEAN, waste elimination and cost transparency initiatives.
4. Deliver construction (Electrical) work in a quality and timely manner through contractors.
5. Participate in Safety meeting to ensure construction hazard are identified and mitigated.
6. Check accuracy of approved construction drawing and documentation for execution.
7. Perform field construction (Electrical) feasibility study and provide conceptual idea to Project manager/ engineer for budget setting for field Electrical installation.
8. Provide Electrical support to other Maintenance Electrical discipline, e.g. troubleshoot & rectify faults, trips and alarms.
9. Assist the project engineer/manager in development of site work scope specification.
10. Conduct site inspection and explain work requirements to contractors; develop work plan with contractors, operations, maintenance and other stakeholders for execution with minimum interruption to operating plant and ensure field work sequences are aligned.
11. Conduct construction kick-off meeting with Electrical contractors.
12. Verify contractor personnel records and work procedure applicable for the job.
13. Prepare and deliver weekly construction progress report.
14. Establish time schedule/execution plan for more complex project with multi-disciplinary involvement amongst operations, maintenance and contractors. Able to coordinate with multi-disciplines during field execution.
15. Support computation and calculation of progress measurement, monitor work progress and able to provide schedule catch-up plan.
16. Carry out Electrical installation and equipment checks, able to coordinate activities progress.
17. Ensure As-Built make up is done and submit updates for final update.
18. Coordinate with other disciplines for project integration at site prior to handover.
19. Perform standby engineer duty for site, perform Authorized Applicant & Authorized Engineer’s role as per site's PTW requirement.
20. Carry out any other assignment or duties as and when required by the organisation.
21. Support SHELL Downstream Turnaround preparation and field execution, assist in Turnaround field planning.
22. Organize Mechanical Completion review and assist in operation readiness review for project handing over.
RequirementsEducational Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical/ Control Engineering or equivalent
Professional Experience:
- 3 to 5 years experience field experience in Electrical/Controls construction in oil & gas, chemical & petrochemical industry.
- Knowledge in project management.
- Knowledge of Electrical equipments : switchhouses, substation and pumps etc.
- Professional qualifications/ knowledge of relevant Electrical related hardware such as motors, transformers, switch-gears etc.
- Understand power electrical system.
- Familiar with construction supporting service arrangement like scaffolding, Electrical installation, lighting and lifting etc.
- Experience in Plant Turnaround project planning, preparation and execution.
