Job Details:
Responsibilities
*.Support local and remote management teams with all operational issues for a telecommunications network.
*.Develop and maintain operational processes for effectively managing internal teams and processes, vendors and customers, and for mitigating business, legal, operational, financial and strategic risk.
*.Identify and implement efficiency opportunities in day-to-day and long-term operations. Define, track and visualize key metrics of operational performance.
*.Manage vendor relationship to ensure adherence to contracts and achievement of SLA (Service Level Agreement) targets.
*.Work collaboratively with remote teams in Europe, US and across Sub-Saharan Africa on operational issues.
Minimum qualifications
*.Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or business, or equivalent practical experience.
*.Operations experience in the telecommunications industry or a similar industry.
Preferred qualifications
*.MBA or graduate degree in management, technical or engineering field.
*.Proven track record of achieving efficiency and scale in process design and implementation.
*.Excellent problem structuring and solving skills. Familiarity with telecommunications management frameworks and processes (e.g., OSS/BSS, FCAPS).
*.Current knowledge of wireless/wireline telecommunications technology and industry in emerging markets. This should include 3G/4G backhaul technologies and fiber optics networks.
*.Ability to handle ambiguity, work collaboratively with internal and external partners, and quickly learn new processes and tools. Strong analytical and reasoning skills with technical, contractual and financial issues.
*.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both frontline staff and senior management...
