Job Details:
Purpose: Provide accurate financial analysis and ensure that accurate, reliable and detail records of costing are maintained
Key Responsibilities
Production Admin:
• Check Grower invoices against contracts. Ensure all grower process orders tie back to source documentation.
•Approval of Grower Payments and direct costs (within DOA)
Analysis of process orders & stock transactions for Corn
Costing:
*.Responsible for costing West Africa & CES Corn Seed (Kenya, Nigeria, Ethiopia and Tanzania.
*.Maintain cost estimates (cost table and material master in SAP system for all commercial RW(raw wet), DS(driedseed)FP(finished product).
*.Compiling annual budgets, LRP (long range plan) and monthly cost forecasts for Supply Chain in West Africa and CES Africa for COGS (standard cost of goods) & Non standard costs (WA & CES).
*.Prepare monthly variance analysis between forecast & budget and prior forecast, with key drivers i.e. volume, price, season mix, parity.
*.Variance analysis for budget and LRP with key drivers
*.Updating annual month end cycles master data according to Budget
Month End
• Prepare balance sheet recons in Monsanto software for West Africa and CES countries (work in progress, capitalization of inventory, purchase price variance)
• Deterioration & Obsolescence review for West Africa and CES on quarterly basis
*.Analyze month-end results and prepare journal entries, ensure proper allocation to GL accounts and cost centers and follow up on postings.
*.Prepare monthly cost center reporting of actual versus budget and investigate variances, for all manufacturing cost centers in WA & CES. (for standard cost and non standard cost). Schedule meetings with Managers to review Cost center reports.
*.Preparation and submission of monthly OCF (operating cash flow) template for WA & CES Inventory balance to South Africa for consolidation.
Other
*.Assist with the set-up of new legal entities in WA/CES and the requirements for Supply Chain Finance
*.Assist with Stock count when requested
*.Ad Hoc reporting on financial information.
*.Compliance to Corporate Controller policies
*.Internal Audit – ISO9001:2008 compliance
*.Safety compliance
Qualifications
*.Degree/Diploma in Costing a requirement
*.Computer literacy – Proficient in Excel
*.Experience in SAP accounts payable, materials management, production planning, costing and general ledger modules
*.Good communication and relationship skills
*.Travelling required and ability to work independently...
