The SSM brings a strong foundation of in-depth infrastructure knowledge, together with Pre-Sales and scope management expertise, to effectively design and deploy effective, high-impact technical and business process solutions.
Job Description:
The SBM will work closely with our sales team to drive enterprise-consulting services from sales through delivery in our accounts. Using VMware’s Virtual Infrastructure Methodology (VIM) you will generate project proposals which include the business requirements, technical requirements and appropriate solution stating the delivery times and schedules for the design, development and testing of the solution components. You will be responsible for closing PSO projects that could span from 1-week implementation engagements to complex, multi-consultant $1M+ engagements.
Responsibilities:
• In partnership with Sales Account Managers, strategically drive new services business to targeted accounts within your sales territory
• Meet/exceed % quota attainment
• As a trusted advisor, build in-depth knowledge of clients’ business priorities, challenges and initiatives that can be translated into VMware opportunities
• Manage direct relationships with management representatives for all key accounts
• Manage the proposal and work order process for assigned accounts & territory
• Lead services opportunity plans and campaigns in 3-5 key accounts per quarter
• Provide weekly sales forecasts by staying abreast of status/details for each campaign and independently provide reliable sales forecasts on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
• Establish direct relationships with OEM/SI representatives for all key accounts
• Manage virtual sales teams assigned to proposal & work order creation
Requirements:
• Understanding and experience with/of VMware’s product & solution offerings
• Understand how customers use VMware technology in their business
• Technical background that includes architecture and technical consulting
• 4+ years experience in consultative selling services
• 4 year degree
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel up to 50 percent of the time
