Maersk Drilling is seeking a Well Control Equipment Superintendent to join the local rig team in Egypt.

Key Responsibilities
As a focal point for well control equipment and subsea operations you will coordinate major well control related activities, ensuring expertise is correctly allocated. You will provide technical expertise to support the operation and where required liaise with vendors and as well as onshore and offshore management to ensure operations are fully maintained.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the unit complies with relevant Rules, Regulations and Standards pertaining to well control equipment.
Take ownership of well control operational procedures and continually review same to ensure that industry best practice is met.
Provide technical expertise for operational and maintenance improvements in all matters relating to well control equipment
Liaise with Well Control Equipment governance section in Maersk Drilling’s Technical Organization
Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and repair of well control equipment and maintain dialogue with manufacturers and vendors as required.
Participate in development of upgrade projects and new installations and modifications as appointed.
The position reports to the Unit Director.
Who we are looking for
The right candidate has a background from the drilling industry, experience with deepwater drilling operations and a background in subsea Well Control Equipment. Particularly:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or educational equivalent from an accredited technical school, trade school, or institute preferred.
• Operational deepwater experience as a Subsea Engineer or Supervisor.
• Thorough knowledge of Subsea BOP MUX systems, Connectors, Marine Risers, Diverter, Tensioner, Choke Manifold and Surface control units. Experience with Hydril.
• Thorough knowledge of Heave compensators, Valves & Hoses.
• Thorough knowledge of HPU & Hydraulic systems.
• Analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Good knowledge of industry standards & regulations.
• Good communications skills and industry contacts.
• Computer literate, including Word, Excel, Power Point and MS Project. Familiarity with an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, IFS) is preferred.
