Job Details:
The Marketing Coordinator will report directly to the Communications Manager for International Affairs and be part of a growing strategic communication and marketing team that is responsible for identifying and fulfilling marketing needs for the three inbound units within the Office of International Affairs – International Student and Scholar Services, Intensive English Language Program, and International Admissions. The international marketing needs extend across print and electronic mediums. The Marketing Coordinator will be instrumental in developing and implementing all aspects of international marketing and advertising campaigns. The marketing materials will be geared towards attracting international undergraduate students and English language learners to Temple University. Responsibilities include preparing strategic plans for each inbound unit based on market trends research and post-campaign reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data. Content creation will also be a primary responsibility; this includes writing for brochures, websites, e-newsletters, social media, as well as internal and external media outlets. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field. At least two years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities:
*Excellent oral, written, presentation, interpersonal communication and design skills to effectively interact with colleagues and all levels of management.
*Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
*Strong creative and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task with minimal oversight.
*Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
*Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Drupal.
*Demonstrated knowledge with social media, photography and video a plus.
Preferred:
*Experience in admissions or international marketing.
*Experience planning and executing events.
*Knowledge of a foreign language.
