Job Details:
Responsibilities of this position include:
*.Full cycle payroll processing in a timely and accurate manner:
*.Process hourly, salaried, and commissioned employee payrolls on bi-weekly and semi-monthly basis
*.Process employee enrollment and termination
*.Process employee benefits and other deductions
*.Prepare payroll journal entries and monthly payroll report
*.Prepare payroll reconciliation
*.Maintain payroll files
*.Government reporting and filing:
*.Workers compensation
*.Health and education levy
*.State/province registration
*.Administering tax forms (T4s, W2, etc.)
*.Finance and Human Resource ad hoc projects, as required
*.Consolidation of payroll providers
*.Administer time tracking tool
*.Support and collaborate inter-departmentally
Skills and Qualifications:
*.Experience with both Canadian and US payroll processing is required
*.Experience using Ceridian is required
*.PCP certification is required
*.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll position
*.Full understanding of payroll-cycle
*.University degree or college diploma is required
*.Experience with Australian payroll is an asset
*.Experience using Paycor and other payroll process software is an asset
*.Experience in benefits administration is an asset
*.Microsoft Word/Excel – intermediate
*.Easy adaptation to changing business environments
*.Time and deadline sensitive
*.Able to effectively manage internal and external communications
*.Able to work independently
